Camilla, Georgia. William "Buster" Otis Palmer, 82, of Camilla died Saturday, 5 Jan 1991, at the Camilla retirement Center. Funeral services were held at 3:00 PM Monday, 7 Jan, at the First Baptist Church in Camilla with the Rev Edgar T. Davis and the Rev Harris Malcolm officiating. Burial was held at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens. Pall bearers were Danny Palmer, Joey Palmer, Mike Palmer, Jimmy Palmer, Dan and Bill Baker. Palmer was born in Mitchell County 7 Oct 1908, the son of the late William Daniel and Julia Spence Palmer Sr. He was an automobile salesman. He was also a member of the First Baptist Church in Camilla. Survivors include his wife, Celestine Tisinger Palmer; a daughter, Susan Palmer Redfearn of Pavo; a son-in-law, B. Hall Redfearn of Pavo; three brothers, W. D. Palmer, Jr., Howard Palmer and Frank Palmer of Camilla; four sisters, Grace Youmans of Putney, Vivian Williford and Hazel Clark of Camilla, and Florence Baker of Sale City; two grandsons, Hall Redfearn of Albany and Todd Palmer Redfearn of Statesboro; and a granddaughter, Suzanne Redfearn of Statesboro. Parker Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
