Albany, Georgia. CAMILLA, GA.>>>Walter Wayne Thornton, 55, of Miami Springs, Fl., died Monday, 12 Sep 1994, in Miami Springs. The funeral will be at 2:00 PM today at the Delwood Baptist Church in Camilla with burial in the church cemetery. The Rev Charles Rouse will officiate. A native of Mitchell County, Mr. Thornton was a truck driver and had lived in Miami Springs since 1956. Survivors include his wife, Dianne Thornton of Miami Springs; two daughters, Joan Denise Tabler and Mercy Cantin of Miami Springs; three sons, Walter Wayne Thornton Jr. of Kissimmee, Fl., and Joe Cantin and Dito Cantin, both of Miami Springs; his mother, Inez Thornton of Putney; a sister Gail Edwards of Acree; a brother, Steve Morton of Mableton; and five grandchildren. Parker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
