The daughter of the late Miles and Melvina Mansfield, Mrs. Henry was born December 10, 1910, in Sale City. She attended Valdosta State College for Women and was married June 8, 1932, to Willard Paul Henry, who served as mayor of Pelham for many years and preceded her in death on March 9, 1988. She served as a state officer in the W.M.U., as director of Camp Tucker at Hopeful, and in various ways in the Tucker Baptist Association. For 28 years she taught the Sunday School class to residents of Pelham Parkway Nursing home, for which she was honored in 1995 with a reception. Also preceded in death by five brothers and four sisters. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be an hour before service time at the funeral home.
