CAMILLA--Hazel Palmer Clark, 76, of 40 E. Camellia Drive, Camilla, died Saturday, October 12, 2002, at Camilla Retirement Village. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church of Camilla with burial in Oakview Cemetery. The Rev. Danny Thomas wil officiate. Active pallbearers will be James W. Palmer Jr., W.D. Palmer III, Daniel J. Baker III, William Palmer Baker, Michael Benjamin Palmer and Joseph Howard Palmer. Honorary pallbearers will be Edgar T. Davis Jr. Sunday School Class, and all past and present employees of Bank of Camilla. A native of Camilla, Mitchell County, Mrs. Clark was born February 7, 1926. Her parents were the late W.D. Palmer Sr. and Julia spence Palmer. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Caroline P. Hurst, Vivian P. Williford, and Grace P. Youmans, and three brothers, James Wiley Palmer Sr., W.O. (Buster) Palmer, and Joseph Howard Palmer Sr. She retired after 35 years as head bookkeeper for Bank of Camilla. She served in the nursery at First Baptist Church of Camilla for 16 years; was a member of Edgar T. Davis Jr. Sunday School Class, Golden Key Club, Rural Electric Leaders of Mitchell EMC, and was a member of Farm Bureau's Women's Committee. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Camilla. Survivors include her husband, James O. "Jimmy" Clark of Camilla; daughter, Becky Clark of Camilla; sister, Florence Baker of Sale City; two brothers, W.D. Palmer Jr. and Frank Palmer, both of Camilla; and a number of nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, P.O.
