Albany, Georgia. Businesswoman CAMILLA - Jean Harris Palmer, 73, of Camilla died Monday at Mitchell County Hospital in Camilla. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Camilla United Methodist Church with burial in Oakview Cemetery. The Rev. Ted Bass will officiate. A native of Mitchell County, Mrs. Palmer was a member of Camilla United Methodist Church. She attended Florida State College for Women in Tallahassee and the University of Georgia. She was the former owner of Mary's Gift Shop in Camilla and taught for a number of years at Ravenwood Academy and Westwood Schools. She established and operated a local insurance company for several years. Survivors include a daughter, Patricia P. Saponaro of Chapel Hill, N.C.; two sons, Joe M. Palmer Jr. of Chapel Hill and William H. Palmer of Roswell; and six grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Visitation will be 6 p.m.-8 p.m. today at Parker-Bramlett Funeral Home.
