Camilla, Georgia. Camilla, Ga---James Ivey "Buddy" Hatcher, 77, of 5746 Evergreen Road, Camilla, Ga., died Sunday, September 23, 2001 at Mitchell County Hospital. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 25, 2001, at Parker-Bramlett Funeral Home with burial in Oakview Cemetery. The Rev. Neal Hager will officiate. Serving as Pallbearers will be Donald Hatcher, Idus Williams, Pat McFadden, Johnny Brooks, Travis Smith, Glen Eaton, Gregory Potts, Derek Barfield and Jimbo Lawrence. Born January 28, 1924, in Colquitt County, Ga., the son of the later Eugene M. and Gertrude Shiver Hatcher, Mr. Hatcher was a veteran of the U.S. Army having obtained the rank of Sergeant and retired supervisor of Escambia Treating Company. He was a member of Southside Baptist Church. Mr. Hatcher was preceded in death by a son, Wandal Hatcher of Camilla. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Frances Hatcher of Camilla; a son, Mike Hatcher of Camilla; a daughter and son-in-law, Krista and Ray Koehler of Camilla; grandchildren, Candi Brown and her husband James of Camilla, Bert and Leigh Lawson of Hartford,Ala., Lori Hatcher of Camilla and Hannah Hatcher of Camilla; great-grandchildren, Blair, Kayla and Breann Brown, Raegan Kelley and Lexy Hatcher; four sisters, Gladys Martin and Flo McFadden, both of Albany, Opal Brooks of Camilla and Grace Turner of Mobile, Ala.; a brother, Ray "Buck" Hatcher of Camilla. Visitation will be from 7 p.m.-9 p.m. today (Monday) at Parker-Bramlett Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Southside Baptist Church, Building Fund, Camilla, Ga 31730.
