Moultrie, Georgia. MOULTRIE - James Rudolph Shiver, 71, of Moultrie, died Monday, Nov. 5, 2001, at his residence. Services will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 8, at Harrell-Faircloth Funeral Home with the Rev. Terry Webb officiating. Burial will be in Greenfield Cemetery. Pallbearers will be DeWayne Bennett, Chuck Bennett, Kirk Bennett, Johnny Kilgore, Richard Shiver, Charles Shiver, Doug Shiver, Jerry Wallace, Ken Riggins, Jimmy Miller, Frankie Miller, Larry Wallace, David Kilgore, Cleve Kilgore and Danny Kilgore. Born May 27, 1930, in Mitchell County, Mr. Shiver was the son of the late James Ranson and Iris Taylor Shiver. He was a farmer and a member of Autreyville Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was preceded in death by sisters, Patsy Lou Shiver and Gwendolyn Snipes. Survivors include his wife, Hazel K. Shiver of Moultrie; a son, Wayne Rudolph Shiver of Atlanta; a daughter, Cathy Tomlinson and husband LaDon of Moultrie; brothers, Coil H. Shiver of Tifton and LaDon Shiver of Ocala, Fla.; a sister, Odessa Fuentes of Maranda Beach, Fla.; a grandchild, Wesley Tomlinson; and a great- grandchild, Austin Tomlinson. Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. tonight at the funeral home. Harrell-Faircloth Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
