CAMILLA--Lula Mae Keadle, 92, of Camilla died Wednesday, August 21, 2002, at Mitchell Convalescent Center in Camilla. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church of Camilla with burial in Hopeful Cemetery. The Rev. Darrell Bailey and the Rev. Neal Hager will officiate. Active pallbearers will include the grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will include Sunshine Club and the Philathia Sunday School Class. Born February 27, 1910, in Mitchell County, Mrs. Keadle was a homemaker. Mrs. Keadle was a member of First Baptist Church of Camilla, the Sunshine Club, the Philathia Sunday School Class, and the American Legion Auxiliary. She was married to the late Rev. Paul (P.J.) Keadle Sr. and was the daughter of the late James L. (Jim) and Mamie Lou West Hays. Mrs. Keadle was preceded in death by two infant daughters, Agnes Keadle and Mildred Keadle; four daughters, Virginia Williams and her husband, Luther, of Marietta, Dorothy Marshall and her husband, John D., of Camilla, Madge Shelly and her husband, Wade, of Monticello, FL, and Louise Keadle Taylor of Camilla; two sons-in-law, Dr. William Adams of Gainesville, GA and Cecil L. Gurley of Orlando, FL. Survivors include two daughters, Juanita Keadle Adams of Gainesville, GA, and Nan Keadle Gurley of Camilla; four sons and daughters-in-law, Paul and Eileen Keadle Jr. of Holly Springs, NC, Spencer and Patsy Keadle of Inman, SC, Charles and Sue Keadle of Dudley, NC, Vance and Susie Keadle of St. George, SC; a son-in-law, Charles Taylor Jr. of Camilla; a sister-in-law, Evelyn Keadle Watson of Camilla; 39 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 6 p.m.- 8 p.m. today at Parker-Bramlett Funeral Home in Camilla. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Southside Church Building Fund, Hopeful Cemetery Fund, or the charity of your choice.
