Obituary of Labron A. Rackley Sr. 
as written in "The Albany Herald" dated 7 Sep 2002.  

Albany, Georgia.  
ATLANTA, Ga.----Labron A. Rackley Sr., 73, died at Piedmont 
Hospital in Atlanta, GA, Wednesday, September 4, 2002. A memorial service will be 
held at 10 a.m. today at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Camilla. The Rev. Robert Lewis 
will officiate.  A native of Mitchell County who resided in Atlanta, Mr. Rackley was a 
veteran of the United States Army. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and 
Ruby Rackley.  Survivors include five sons, Labron A. Rackley Jr. of Sylvester, Ramard 
R. Rackley of Savannah, Donald G. Rackley Sr. of Tallahassee, FL, Lee M. Rackley and 
Max G. Rackley of Bainbridge; two daughters, Billie R. Medders of Sylvester and Denise 
R. Knutson of Plano, TX; 17 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He is also 
survived by one brother, Carl R. Rackley of Atlanta, and one sister, Cora Mae Edwards 
of Camilla.
