Obituary of Minnie Lee Cook Akridge 
as written in "The Albany Herald" dated 12 Mar 2000.  


Minnie C. Akridge, 100, of Pelham died Saturday, 11 Mar 2000, at Pelham 
Parkway Nursing Home. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday, 13 Mar 2000, in 
Pinecrest Memory Gardens.  The Rev. George Durham will officiate.  A native of Grady 
County, Mrs. Akridge was a retired teacher and a member of Hand Memorial United 
Methodist Church.  She was the widow of W. J. Akridge.  Survivors include two 
daughters, Virginia A. Frosteg of Pelham and Martha A. Bryant of Decatur; a son, Mac 
B. Akridge of Florence, S.C.; and nine grandchildren and 16 great- grandchildren.  
Visitation will be 7 p.m.-9 p.m. today at Braswell Funeral Home.
