Obituary of Charles Rayford Nazworth Sr. 
as written in "The Pelham Journal" dated 31 Oct 2001.  


Pelham, Georgia.  Charles Rayford Nazworth, Sr., 72, of 4103 Vern 
Sikking Road, Appling, Ga., 30802, died Friday, 26 Oct 2001, at St. Joseph Hospital in 
Augusta, Ga.  Funeral services were held Monday, 29 Oct 2001, at 11:00 AM at the 
Braswell Funeral Home Chapel.  The Rev. Kim Grueser officiated.  Burial followed in 
Pelham Cemetery.  Active pallbearers were Don Nazworth, Dan Baker, Thurson Bolter, 
Larry Itson, Jr., Larry Whitfield and Andrew Nazworth.  Born 20 Oct 1929 in Grady 
County, Georgia Nazworth was the son of the late Ray Rigsby Nazworth and the late 
Annie Ruth Faircloth.  He was retired from GM Insurance Department and he was a 
member of Mount Tabor Baptist Church in Duluth.  Survivors are his wife, Gail Gresham 
Nazworth, whom he married 18 Sep 1954; two sons, Charles Rayford Nazworth, Jr., of 
Appling; Albert Andrews Nazworth of Mount Airy, Maryland; two daughters, Terri Lynn 
Trivett of Gulf Breeze, Fla; and Vicki Elaine Chambers of Greenville; one brother, Kaye 
Don Nazworth of Pelham; several nieces and nephews.  Braswell Funeral Home of 
Pelham has charge of arrangements.
