Fitzgerald as written in "The Albany Herald" dated 1 Oct 2001. CAMILLA--Robert L. Fitzgerald, 64, of 4556 Hwy. 97S, of Camilla, died Sunday, September 30, 2001 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, at Bethany Methodist Church with burial in the church cemetery. The Revs. Dan Harper and Charles Harper will officiate. Pallbearers will be Bo Williams, Jack Williams, Bobby Tinsley, Wayne Oliver, Rayburn Whigham, Donald Shirah, Raiford Daughtry and Jimbo Lawrence. Honorary pallbearers will be Bennie "Beech" Williams, Billy Vines, Irvin Horne, Carlton Carnes, Freddie Hughes, Lane Oliver, Harold Dixon, Willard Powe, Willie Wimberly and Leon Clayton. Born September 20, 1937, in Mitchell County, Mr. Fitzgerald was a farmer and a member of Bethany Methodist Church. He was the son of the late Thomas H. Fitzgerald. Survivors include his wife, Janice Norton Fitzgerald of Camilla; two daughters and sons-in-law, Lynn Hall and Lee and Ronda Jackson and Stan, all of Camilla; a son and a daughter-in- law, Ted Fitzgerald and Wanda of Camilla; his mother, Julia Fitzgerald of Camilla; a sister, Mary Frances Richardson of McAllen, Texas; and six grandchildren.
