Albany, Georgia. AMERICUS--- Senette Akridge Turner, 83, of 520 Claude Harvey Rd., Plains, died Wednesday, October 23, 2002, in Schwarzbach, Germany. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, November 4, 2002, from the chapel of Aldridge Funeral Services with the Rev. Tommy McConnell officiating. Interment will follow at Andersonville National Historic Site Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 6 p.m.- 8 p.m. Sunday, November 3, at Aldridge Funeral Services. Mrs. Turner was born November 27, 1918, in Mitchell County, daughter of the late Daniel Hansford Akridge and the late Minnie Faircloth Akridge. Mrs. Turner was a retired secretary with Amoco Oil Company formerly of Americus. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and a member of Rehoboth Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Minor Turner, of Plains; a daughter, Ginger Dominik of Schwarzbach, Germany; a sister, Prudence Musgrove of Bainbridge; two brothers, Haldon Akridge of Meigs and H.K.
