Albany, Georgia. CAMILLA---Virginia S. McMinn, 79, of 231 Maryland Drive, Camilla, died Friday, August 16, 2002 at her residence. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. today (Sunday) at the Camilla United Methodist Church with burial in Oakview Cemetery. The Rev. Gene Yelverton will officiate. Pallbearers include Richard Waters, Michael Shiver, Harris Morgan, Tripp Morgan, Jud Vann, and Bubba Mitchell. Born December 4, 1922 in Mitchell County, Mrs. McMinn was a retired Camilla City Clerk and a member of the Camilla United Methodist Church. She was married to the late Edward Franklin McMinn Sr., and was the daughter of the late Joseph Ira and Rebekah Griner Smith. Survivors include two daughters, Lynn Campbell and husband, Bryant of Camilla and Gynn McGrath of Redington Shores, FL; a son, the Rev. Ed McMinn and wife, Slynn of Newnan; two nephews, Joe Smith and wife, Sue of Camilla and Gerald Newman and wife, Linda of Atlanta; six grandchildren, David McMinn, Ginna Waters, Gail Moss, Lewis Campbell, Nancy Smith, and Kristy Smith; two great grandsons, Campbell Waters and Max Waters.
