Camilla, Georgia. Bainbridge----Funeral services for Dr. Linton Daniel Baggs, 87, were held Thursday morning, Dec. 4, at the First Baptist Church of Bainbridge, with the Rev. James T. Burrell officiating. Interment was in Oak City Cemetery with E. W. Cox & Sons Funeral Home in charge. Members of the Baraca Sunday School Class served as honorary pallbearers. Dr. Baggs passed away Wednesday, following a lengthy illness. A native of Mitchell County, Dr. Baggs was the son of the late George Washington Baggs and Marthena Palmer Baggs. He was graduated from Atlanta Dental College in 1898 and began the practice of dentistry in Quitman. He moved to Bainbridge in 1901 and continued to practice until his retirement three years ago. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bainbridge. Survivors include his wife, the former Miss Madge Ione Morgan; a son, Linton Daniel Baggs, Jr. of Macon; two grandchildren; and a brother, Wade Baggs, of Camilla.
