  Mrs. Bessie Mae Eidson Burford, 73, wife of the late A. G. Burford, died 
Tuesday afternoon, April 19, at five o'clock at Mitchell County Hospital.  
Funeral services took place Thursday morning at 11:00 A.M. at Branchville 
Church with burial afterwards in the church cemetery.  Rev. Wentworth, assisted 
by Rev. W. A. Sellars, was in charge of services.  Pallbearers were Ralph 
Fitzgerald, E. C. Ross, Johnny Pitts, Millard Johnson, John Gray, Wilson 
Joiner.  Bramlett Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.  Mrs. Buford was 
born December 4, 1892, in Fulton County, the daughter of the late Carolyn Sims 
Eidson and Mathis Eidson.  She moved to Mitchell County from Jackson, Ga., in 
1918, and had been married fifty years when her husband, who sold dairy 
products in Camilla a number of years, preceded her in death six years ago.  
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Irma Worsham of Tarpon Springs, Fla.; two 
sons, W. C. Burford of Perry, Fla. and Oliver Burford of Camilla; 21 
grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
