The Camilla Enterprise 18 Jan 1957 page 8  Camilla, Ga.

  Hand Beck, 64, of Martinez, Georgia, native of Mitchell County, died at 
University Hospital, Augusta, after an extended illness.  Mr. Beck was born in 
Mitchell County and was the son of the late Franklin and Lydia Beck.  He had 
lived at Martinez for the past 11 years and was employed by the C and W. C. 
Railroad.  He is survived by his wife, the former Mary Spence, daughter of the 
late Mr. and Mrs. Carswell Spence of Camilla, one daughter, Mrs. J. E. Meyer of 
Martinez, and one granddaughter, Louise Meyer, of Martinez.  Interment was in 
Hillcrest Cemetery.
