Obituary of Luther Randolph Baggs as written on page 1 of "The Camilla 
Enterprise" dated 20 Sep 1957.  Camilla, Georgia.  

Funeral services will be held this afternoon at three o'clock at the First 
Baptist Church of Camilla for Mr. Luther Randolph Baggs who died about 4:30 A. 
M. Thursday morning at his home on the Moultrie road.  Rev. Jim Parks, Acting 
Pastor of the church, will officiate.  Pallbearers will be Edwin Rackley Jr., 
Byron Baggs Jr., Bill Manry, Alford Manry, Webb Bullard Jr., and Julius V. 
Jackson Jr.  Bramlett Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.  Mr. Baggs, 
who was blind, died after many months illness and suffering.  He had spent his 
entire life in Mitchell County, having been born April 6, 1873, the son of the 
late George Washington Baggs and Marthena Baggs.  He was happily married on 
April 24, 1929, to Miss Jakie Culbreath.  Besides his wife he leaves two 
brothers, Wade H. Baggs, Sr., of Camilla, and Linton Baggs of Bainbridge, in 
addition to several nieces and nephews.
