Camilla, Georgia. J. Bennett Butler, Sr., son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Hardy Butler, of Camilla, now a resident of High Springs, Fla., watched a loading train fatally injure his teenage son when the boy climbed beneath the train to retrieve a pigeon. James (Jimmy) Bennett Butler, age 16, died in a Gainesville, Fla., hospital Sunday from injuries received Saturday when the boy and his friends were pigeon- shooting at his father's peanut plant in High Springs. His father was standing on the loading platform when the train pulled off. Among his survivors are his parents; Maternal grandfather; aunts, Mrs. Eloise B. McDonald and Miss Gussie Butler, of Camilla; uncles, Robert Butler of Camilla and H. P. Butler, now living in Bainbridge. The two aunts and two uncles left immediately for Florida upon receipt of the news of the accident and subsequent death. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at four o'clock at the High Springs Methodist Church with burial in the High Springs cemetery.
