John Temple Collins, Jr.

PELHAM – John Temple Collins, Jr. 81, of 3070 John Collins Rd., Pelham, died 
Tuesday, July 4, 2006, at Mitchell County Hospital.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. today at Jamerson-Braswell Funeral Home 
Chapel with interment in Pinecrest Memory Gardens. Ronnie Morrell and the
Rev. Carl Stewart will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Alex Morrell, Steve Morrell, Randy Covington, Ronald 
Godwin, Adrian Morrell, Don Morrell and Jack Morrell.

Born January 30, 1925, in Mitchell County to the late John Temple Collins Sr. 
and
Emma Woodruff Collins, Mr. Collins was a retired postmaster and farmer. He was 
a member of Lake Pleasant Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He also 
was 
a member of the Rotary and Lake Pleasant Baptist Church Brotherhood.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Kathryn 
Knowles Collins and one son, Paul Collins.

Survivors include his daughter, Kay Collins of Pelham; son, John T. Collins of 
Pelham; brother Marcus Collins of Pelham .
