Camilla, Georgia. Mrs. William G. Cox, Sr., of RFD No. 2, Meigs, died Tuesday at her home after a lengthy illness. She was 76 years old and was born in Mitchell County January 25, 1885, daughter of the late William Henry and Mary Jane Clark Bozeman. She spent all her life in Mitchell County. Mrs. Cox was a member of Cool Springs Baptist Church where funeral services will be held at three o'clock this afternoon, Thursday, August 10th, with Rev. Lewis Crosby officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery and Bramlett Funeral Home of Camilla will be in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Cox was the former Miss Lou Ella Bozeman. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Ben Hill and W. G. Cox, Jr., both of Meigs; two daughters, Mrs. Quida Poore and Mrs. George Pitts, both of Camilla; four brothers, John R. Bozeman of Albany, Jake Bozeman of Moultrie, Henry B. Bozeman of Dade City, Fla., and Mallie Bozeman of Winter Haven, Fla.; three sisters, Mrs. Mary E. Shiver and Mrs. Alpha McLeod, both of Sale City, and Mrs. Betty Crowder of Albany. Five grandchildren and five great- grandchildren also survive.
