Obituary of James Romeo Cross as written on page 12 of "The Camilla Enterprise" 
dated 3 Apr 1959.  Camilla, Georgia.   
Friends here were saddened to learn of the death of Mr. J. R. Cross, 83, of 
Albany, who passed away Thursday morning at Phoebe Putney Hospital in Albany.  
Mr. Cross was injured in an automobile accident several years ago and had been 
an invalid since that time.  Death was attributed to complications following 
his accident.  Mr. Cross is the brother of Mrs. John Herring of Camilla and Ben 
Cross, of Atlanta, and the late Will and Charlie Cross of Camilla.  Survivors 
include his wife, Mrs. Loris Mock Cross; three daughters, Mrs. James Humphries 
of Moultrie, Mrs. Marlin Wills of Atlanta and Mrs. A. J. Pitts of Albany.  Mrs. 
Cross is a sister of Mrs. J. G. Bailey and Mrs. Charlie Cross of Camilla and 
Mrs. A. D. Smith of Albany.  Funeral arrangements have not been completed.
