Funeral services for Mrs. Charlie Cameron Cochran, wife of the late Ben Hill Cochran, were held Wednesday afternoon, January 18, at three o'clock at Bramlett Funeral Home in Camilla. The Rev. N. H. Williams officiated and interment was in Sunset Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Hartly Palmer, Dan Palmer, Jr., Jimmy Howell, Jim Butler, Jr., A. B. Cochran, Sr. and E. J. Vann, III. Mrs. Cochran died late Tuesday at Mitchell County Hospital where she was carried three months ago following a stroke she suffered while visiting with a niece, Mrs. T. W. Joiner, in Pelham. She was about 72 years of age and had spent her entire life in Mitchell County. She was the daughter of the late Murdock Cameron and Louvenia Mulford Cameron. All of her close kin have passed on in recent years and nearest surviving relatives include one sister-in-law, Mrs. T. T. Cameron of Camilla; one brother-in-law, Mr. E. D. Maloy of Ft. Meade, Fla.; four step-grandchildren whom she reared almost from infancy in her home and loved as if they were her own children and a number of nieces and nephews. The four step-grandchildren, all children of the late Mrs. Rosebud Gafford who was the daughter by Mr. Cochran's first marriage, included Milton Gafford Jr., Roy Gafford and David Gafford, all of Atlanta, and Eleanor Maude who has married and now living in Pensacola, Fla. The nieces and nephews who survive, many of whom were here when the end came and attended the final rites, include the following; Mrs. W. W. Mills, Mrs. Jimmy Lou Burnett, Mr. Grover Shiver of Barnesville, Ga.; Mrs. Frank Criswell of Ashburn, Ga.; Mrs. Tilmon Harper of Moultrie; Ross Maloy of Tallahassee, Fla.; Mrs. T. W. Joiner, Mrs. Almon Willis and Floyd Cameron, all of Pelham; Robert Adams, Cecil Cameron of Albany; Glenn Mulford of Vidalia; Mrs. Jeanette Duke Hamby of Dalllas, Tex.; Mrs. Eulilla Grantham of Winter Park, Fla.; Mrs. Walter Griffin, Mrs. C. K. Cox, Mr. Carl Kierce, Miss Bernice Kierce, Miss Lou Alice Kierce, all of Winter Haven, Fla.; Jack Cameron of Allentown, Pa.; Mrs. Carl Wiggins of Charleston, S.C.; Murdock Cameron, Mrs. Thomas McMinn of Warner Robins, Ga.; Mrs. Theodore Kennedy of Camilla; Mrs. Woodrow West of Newton; Theodore Cameron of Santa Rose, Calif.; Mrs. L.
