Obituary of Clifford Underwood Davis as written on page 10 of "The Camilla Enterprise" dated 2 Dec 1955. Camilla, Georgia. Mrs. Clifford Davis, wife of the late Tom B. Davis, and who made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Cliff Bostick, in Hopeful, died Friday, November 25, at the Howard Hospital in Pelham. She was seventy-seven years old. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock at Hopeful Baptist Church. Rev. B. T. Barksdale officiated assisted by Rev. W. H. Rittenhouse, Sr. and Rev. Alvin Bush. Serving as pallbearers were Alton Cross, Delma Lee, James Davis, Harrell Rerick, Charles Lodge, Billy Davis. Braswell Funeral Home of Pelham was in charge of arrangements. Interment followed in Hopeful cemetery. Mrs. Davis was born and reared in Wilkerson county. She is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Cliff Bostick of Camilla, Mrs. Casey Adams of Pelham, Mrs. C. W. Harrell of Climax, Mrs. Jim Thompson and Mrs. Ed Treat, both of Ft. Pierce, Fla.; one son, T. E. Davis of Climax; one sister, Mrs. Nannie Davis of Bainbridge; fifteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
