Camilla, Georgia. Graveside rites for Embree S. Eason, forty-seven year old Camilla businessman, were held Friday afternoon, June 26th, at six o'clock at Oakview Cemetery. Rev. Charles Schism, pastor of Camilla Presbyterian Church, assisted by Rev. N. H. Williams, retired, officiated. Active pallbearers were Alton A. Ellis of Athens, Ga., Byron Baggs, Jr., Hill Mayes, Walter B. Tennyson, W. J. Fleming, Jr., Billy Phelps, W. G. Sheffield and Elmore M. Floyd. Honorary pallbearers were Dr. J. L. Gray, Hugh Allen, Harrell Drewry, C. M. Stripling, Charlie Kemp, James L. Davis, Dr. M. W. Williams, M. A. Harper, Lee Collins, Dolph Holton, Coy Sanders, Hartley Holton, J. E. Brooks, Jr., Rob Roy Cochran and Edwin Rackley, Sr. Funeral arragements were in charge of Bramlett Funeral Home in Camilla. Mr. Eason died of a heart attack at his place of business, the Eason Tire and Upholstery Company, at about 1:30 P. M. Thursday, June 25th, shortly after having returned from lunch. He had experienced several attacks in recent years but had been able to continue active operation of his business. Mr. Eason, an elder in the Presbyterian Church, was born November 12, 1911, in Cobbtown, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. W. S. Eason. During World War II he held a civilian defense job in Savannah and while on a visit to his sister in Baconton he met and married his wife, the former Miss Martha Baggs, who was teaching school in Baconton then. Their marriage took place June 14, 1943, and they lived in Savannah from then until moving to Camilla in November of 1945. Survivors include his wife, a teacher in the Camilla Elementary School and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wade H. Baggs, Sr.; a small daughter, Eleanor; one sister, Mrs. Joe Rucker of Baconton; two brothers, Harry Eason of Tifton, and Bascom Eason of Milan, Ga. Relatives and friends from out of town who were here for funeral services included Mr. and Mrs. Wade Gilbert and Mrs. Irvin Gilbert of Greenville, Ga.; Dr. and Mrs. Wade H. Baggs, Jr. of Tampa, Fla.; Mr. and Mrs. Alton Ellis of Athens; Rev. J. W. Stork of Clayton, Ala.; Mr. and Mrs. Basom Eason and daughters, Mary Ann and Caroline of Milan, Ga.; M. and Mrs. Harry Eason and Ray and Carolyn Eason of Tifton; Mr. and Mrs. Donald Weldon of Tifton; Mrs. Ridge Eason, Tommy and C. L. Eason of James, Ga.; Mr. Henry Moxley of Cobbtown, Ga.; Mr. R. E. Eason, Sr. of Manassas, Ga.; Mr. Fred Daniels of Fitzgerald; Mr. Noel Brown, Mrs. J. R. Cole, Mrs. W. C. Hilliard, Mrs. Ruth D. Peters, Mrs. J. G. Brock, Mrs. J. W. Jackson and Hilda Jackson, Mrs. E. S. Davis and Mrs. R. S. Miller, all of Baconton.
