Obituary of Leavon Eubanks as written on page 8 of "The Camilla Enterprise" 
dated 30 Jan 1959.  Camilla, Georgia.  
Leavon Eubanks, 54, of Pelham, passed away Monday, January 26, at Howard 
Hospital where he was carried a week ago following a heart attack.  Funeral 
services were held Tuesday from the First Baptist Church of Pelham, at 3:30 P. 
M., with the Rev T. M. Underwood and the Rev. Jasper Sadler, officiating.  
Interment was in Pelham Cemetery with Braswell Funeral Home in charge.  Active 
pallbearers were Edward Eubanks, Wendell Adams, James Eubanks, Jerry Dunlap, 
William Eubanks and Robert Blanchard.  Forming an honorary escort were Hill 
Nazworth, S. O. Wilson, Leon Goff, John Goff, Gene Taylor, Gordon Powell, 
Bronwood Tennyson, Donahue Tennyson, W. P. Henry, Wayne Morrison, Ray Nazworth, 
Ben L. Willis, Perry Simpson, Herbert Long, Haskell Frosteg, Dr. Earl 
Strickland, Earl Taylor, Herschel Joiner, Herman Rigsby.  Mr. Eubanks was born 
in Mitchell County on January 13, 1905.  He was the son of the late Lee and 
Maggie Palmer Eubanks.  He was a painter by trade, and a member of the First 
Baptist Church of Pelham.  He was married to the former Miss Myrtice Adams of 
Mitchell County.  Mrs. Eubanks is Elementary Librarian at Mitchell County High 
School.  A daughter, Mrs. George Bishop of Pelham, formerly owned and operated 
Peggy's Beauty Shop in Camilla.  Survivors besides his wife and daughter are 
one son, B. J. Eubanks of Albany; five grandchildren; one brother, James 
Norwood Eubanks of Pelham; one sister, Miss Alma Eubanks of Camilla.
