H. Allmand as written in "The Camilla Enterprise" dated 20 Sep 1929. Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Spence were called to Columbus, Ga. Tuesday, 17 Sep 1929, by the death of Mrs. Spence's father, Judge E. H. Allmand, which took place at his country home near Columbus on Tuesday morning after a years illness. Mrs. Spence had been with her father the entire summer on account of his illness and had returned home a few days ago to enter her children in school. The death of her father was not unexpected and her numerous friends feel a deep and sincere sympathy for her and Mr. Spence in their sad loss. Judge Allmand is survived by two sons, Burt and Robert Allmand of Columbus; six daughters, Mrs. John Thompson, Mrs. E. W. Page and Mis Louise Allmand of Columbus; Mrs. J. R. Spence of Camilla; Mrs. Newton Browning of Atlanta and Mrs. George Wright of Smith Station, Ala.
