H. Allmand as written in "The Camilla Enterprise" dated 10 Feb 1928. The sympathy of her numbers of friends goes out to Mrs. J. R. Spence in her sad bereavement by the death of her mother, Mrs. E. H. Allmand at her home near Columbus, Ga. on Saturday, 4 Feb 1928, after a long period of ill health. Mr. and Mrs. Spence left here Friday in response to a message telling of her mother's critical illness and scarcely a day after they reached her bedside Mrs. Allmand died at 5:30 PM Saturday afternoon. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 3:00 PM and the body laid to rest in the old family burying ground at Pearce Chapel, Muscogee county. Mrs. Allmand is survived by her husband, six daughters and two sons all of whom live at or near Columbus except for Mrs. J. R. Spence of thisplace. Mrs. J. C. Willson and Mrs. J. D. Whiting of Camilla are niece and nephew of the deceased. The entire community extends condolences to the bereaved family.
