Camilla, Georgia. Mrs. C. P. Palmer, one of the best known and most estimable ladies of the county died at her home near Mt. Zion church on Friday, 18 Jun 1915, at 11:00 AM after a lingering illness of several months. Mrs. Palmer had been a great sufferer for twenty three years, never having recovered from a stroke of paralysis. In the past few months her greatly impaired health rapidly gave way and the came as a sweet release to the patient sufferer. The deceased is survived by her husband, Mr. C. P. Palmer, and the following children; Mrs. M. Poore of near Sale City, Mrs. B. I. Powell of Mt. Zion, Mrs. Albert Akridge and Mrs. V. E. Rackley of near Sale City, Mrs. Claud Frazier of Dawson, and Messrs. Sam P., Hubert and Tenneth Palmer. Funeral services were held at Mt. Zion church on Saturday, 19 Jul 1915, at 11:00 AM, conducted by Rev H. N. Burnett, pastor of the deceased. Mrs. Palmer was sixty five years of age. She was a consistent member of Mt. Zion Baptist church for a number of years, and lived a fervent and useful Christian life. Her death comes as a sad shock to the many loved ones and friends who enjoyed the beauty and influence of her sweet womanhood and motherhood. the sorrowing family and relatives have the deep sympathy of the entire county in their bereavement.
