Camilla, Georgia. The Community was made sad when the news was spread abroad that Mrs. Maggie Palmer, wife of Mr. T. E. Palmer, had died on Thursday night between the hours of 11 and 12 o'clock. Prior to her death Mrs. Palmer had suffered for several days with pneumonia. (Note- she died nine days after the birth of her stillborn daughter and is buried beside her at Mt. Zion.) Funeral services were held on Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock at Mt. Zion Church conducted by Rev. H. N. Burnett, pastor of the deceased, assisted by Rev. O. P. Bently, of this city, and Rev. S. O. Thomas of Pelham. Mrs. Palmer leaves a husband and five children, all boys, to mourn her loss. She is also survived by her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Anderson of Thomasville, three sisters, Mrs.Luvie Rayburg of Thomasville, Mrs. Pine and another Mrs Connell of Nashville, and one brother, Mr. Hoyt Anderson of Thomasville. Mr and Mrs. Palmer had been married about eighteen years, from which union there were eight children, five of whom are now living. It is sad indeed to see the hand of death leave a happy home desolate, as the mother, the queen of that home, and the one on whom falls the greater care of rearing the little ones is taken away. Early in life the deceased became a Christian and united with the Baptist Church of which she was a faithful and constant member until death, and her body was carried to its last resting place from the little church where she had worshiped in life. She was a loving and faithful wife, a devoted mother, and a true friend. The community deeply sympathizes with Mr. Palmer and his family in their bereavement, and extend to them their condolences.
