Camilla, Georgia. The funeral of Mrs. Queen Shiver, who died on Wednesday afternoon of last week, was held on Thursday afternoon at Mt. Zion cemetery. Rev. O. P. Bentley, pastor of the Baptist Church of this city conducted the services. A large concourse of relatives and friends of the deceased followed the body to the grave, paying their tribute of love and respect to a woman who has spent more than the allotted time of life in the community. Mrs. Shiver passed away at the home of her son, Mr. L. M. Shiver, on Wednesday afternoon after an illness of several days. She is survived by four sons: Messrs. L. M. Shiver; A. E. Shiver; John R Shiver; and Hamp Shiver; one daughter, Mrs. W. R. Merritt, and a number of grand children who mourn her loss. Mrs. Shiver was seventy two years old at the time of her death. She joined the Baptist Church early in life and for a long number of years has lived a consistent Christian life. Friends and relatives of the family of the deceased deeply sympathize with them in the loss of their mother and grandmother.
