Brimberry as written in "The Camilla Enterprise" dated 22 Dec 1905. Camilla's Post Master Suicides. Ill health and great bodily suffering was no doubt the cause of the act. The attempt upon his own life made by Thomas W. Brimberry Tuesday afternoon last, an account of which was given in the extra issued by the ENTERPRISE Tuesday evening, resulted in his death at about 10:00 PM that night, despite all efforts made by attending physicians to bring about a reaction and prolong life. His brother, Major B. F. Brimberry of Albany, was notified by telegram of the sad act and came to Camilla on the 5:00 PM train and was with his brother when he breathed his last. The interment was made Wednesday, 20 Dec 1905, afternoon in the family lot at the old cemetery, attended by loved ones and many sympathetic friends. Mr. Brimberry was about 52 years of age and had been a citizen of Camilla about 34 years moving here when a young man about 18. He was post master here for the last 16 years, and while a large majority of the patrons of the office differed with him in politics, they found no fault with his official work but complimented him with having been the best Post Master Camilla has ever had and they look upon his death as a great loss for the city. Mr. Tom Brimberry by his pleasant manner, affable disposition and strict attention to business has made friends of wall who have had business with the post office, and he and his family are held in high esteem by the people of Camilla, whose sympathy goes out to the entire family in this hour of great sorrow. He is survived by his wife and four children, two daughters and two sons, with two brothers, Capt. M. F. Brimberry of this city, and Maj. B. F. Brimberry of Albany.
