Obituary of Annie Lark Luke Flaxman as written on page 1 of "The Camilla 
Enterprise" dated 15 May 1959.  Camilla, Georgia.  
News reached here early Wednesday evening of the death of Mrs. Philip Flaxman, 
the former Miss Annie Lark Luke, daughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. D. P. Luke, 
Sr. of Camilla.  Mrs. Flaxman, age 43, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, was 
visiting friends in Austin, Texas, while her husband was away on a business 
trip.  The heart condition from which she had suffered for some years hac 
become worse since she was in Camilla two months ago for her mother's funeral 
and plans were tentatively set for her to undergo another heart operation three 
weeks from now.  She suffered a blackout early Wednesday morning in Austin and 
the friends rushed her to the hospital there where she died about five o'clock 
in the afternoon.  Mrs. Flaxman was a graduate of the local school and attended 
Shorter and Cox College.  She was married to Mr. Flaxman about nine years ago.  
Survivors include two brothers, David P. Luke, Jr. and Drewry Luke, both of 
Camilla, and one sister, Mrs. Frank Cassidy, Baltimore, Md.  Mrs. Flaxman's 
body was cremated in Austin where funeral services are to be held this morning, 
Friday.  The ashes will be placed in a vault, her husband telephoned, and final 
resting place decided later.  None of the family here were able to make the 
trip out to Austin for services this morning.
