Obituary of Thomas Edgar Glenn as written on page 4 of "The Camilla Enterprise" 
dated 17 Oct 1958.  Camilla, Georgia.  
Thomas Edgar Glenn, 62, passed away at his home near Pelham Wednesday, October 
8th, following a lengthy illness.  Funeral services were held Thursday, October 
9th, at the Macedonia Baptist Church at 3:00 p.m., with Reverend A. J. Cook and 
Reverend R. E. Courtney officiating.  Interment was in the Macedonia cemetery 
with Braswell Funeral Home in charge.  Active pallbearers were W. Powell, J. W. 
Radford, A. J. and E. L. Chason, Coy Gainous and H. J. Jennings.  Honorary 
pallbearers D. Crosby, S. A. Godwin, Lavon Chason, Hubert Palmer, W. E. Thomas, 
J. D. Palmer, Charlie Palmer, John Harvey, Byron Dollar, N. L. Morey, N. H. 
Williams, Jack Moye, H. I. Palmer, Pryor Connell, James Hodges, Mitt Palmer.  
Mr. Glenn was a large landowner and prominent farmer and had lived in this 
vicinity all of his life.  He was a veteran of World War I, he was a member of 
the American Legion and a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church.  He was 
married to Opal Rogers who survives him.  Other survivors include one son, John 
W. Glenn of Pelham; two daughters, Mrs. T. G. Roy of Columbus and Mrs. P. L 
Gore of Albany; three brothers, Robert Glenn of Pelham, T. A. Glenn of Albany 
and D. M. Glenn of Washington, D.C.; three sisters, Mrs. J. R. Godwin of 
Bainbridge, Mrs. P. D. Pelham of Cairo, Mrs. Russell Dasher of Meigs and nine 
grandchildren.
