Obituary of James Elderidge "Peter" Glenn as written on page 1 of "The Camilla 
Enterprise" dated 19 Nov 1959.  Camilla, Georgia.   
Hosts of friends and relatives, all besieged with horror, grief and sorrow over 
the death of James Elderidge ("Peter") Glenn, joined members of the Glenn 
family at funeral services Tuesday morning at eleven o'clock at the Harmony 
Baptist Church.  Officiating at the final rites was the pastor, Rev. J. E. 
Green, and the former pastor, Rev. Lewis Crosby.  Interment  followed in Pelham 
Cemetery with Braswell Funeral Home of Pelham in charge of funeral 
arrangements.  Serving as pallbearers were Sonny Glenn, Michael Jones, Johnny 
Hinson, Edwin Beasley, Jr., Glenwood Anderson and Franklin Irvin.  Mr. Glenn 
was twenty-two years old, having been born in Mitchell County on July 18, 1937, 
the son of James Washington Glenn and the late Irene Harmon who died in 1938 
whe he was about eight months old.  He was graduated from Pelham High School on 
June 3rd, 1957, and the following evening was married to the former Miss Janice 
Bennett, Rt. 1, Meigs, daughter of the Mason Bennetts, Mrs. Bennett being the 
former Miss Kate Roberts.  Mr. Glenn was a member of Harmony Baptist Church and 
was engaged in farming business with his father.  Mr. Glenn is survived by his 
father, James Washington Glenn; stepmother, the former Sara Hinson; wife, Mrs. 
Janice Bennett Glenn; one daughter, Kathryn Irene, soon to be two years old; 
two brothers, Timothy and Joseph; three sisters, Vicky, Karen and Mary.
