ELI STRATFORD DIED
  AT CITY HOSPITAL

	Mr. Eli Stratford, aged 55 years, died this morning at 4:30 o’clock at 
the city hopital, after an illness with complication of diseases.
	Mr. Stratford has been making his home with his son, J. S. Stratford, 
1914 Second Avenue, since November and was carried to the city hospital last 
Sunday. Prior to coming to this city, he made his home at Cottonton, Ala. He 
was a devoted member of the Cotton Baptist Church.
	The deceased is survived by his wife, three sons, J. S. and W. E. 
Stratford, of this city, and W. J. Stratford of Flint, Ga., and one daughter, 
Mrs. D. S. Martin of  Lato, Ala.
And a cousin Mrs. William B. Collins, Sr., of Flint, Ga.
	The body will be carried to Cottonton Saturday morning at 7:10 o’clock, 
from which place the funeral and interment will take place.
