Hatcher, 71, who died Monday at his home in Pelham after an extended illness. The Rev. E. L. Lewis and Rev. T. H. Wilder officiated at the last rites and interment took place at the cemetery of the church where he held membership and served as deacon. He had farmed most of his life, spending a few years at pecan farm in Lee county, the Pineland Plantation in Baker county. He is survived by his wife, the former Effie Barwick; two sons, Eddie Hatcher of Leary and L. H. Hatcher of Albany; five daughters, Mrs. J. L. Wingate of Leesburg, Mrs. Julian F. Shiver of Sylvester, Mrs. Clinton Phillips of Ellaville, and Mrs. E. R. Renfroe of Quitman, Mrs. Charllie Burch of Elmodel; six brothers, A. N., J. D., F. E., J. M. and W. A. Hatcher of Albany, and C. C. Hatcher of Doerun, a sister, Mrs. P.L. York of Albany.
