Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 2nd, at three o'clock at the Hinsonton Baptist Church for George Eugene Hinson, 40, who died Monday morning at 4:45 A.M. at his residence in Hinsonton. Interment was in Liberty Hill Cemetery with Rev. John N. Foreman officiating. Pallbearers were Johnny Hinson, Jack Hinson, Tommy Hinson, Lenward Williford, Jack Williford, Dawson Autry, Peter Glenn and John T. Kelly, all nephews. Braswell Funeral Home was in charge. George Eugene Hinson was born September 21, 1916 in Hinsonton community. He was the son of John D. Hinson and Mamie Rackley Hinson. He was a graduate of Pelham High School, Veteran of World War II and member of the Frank Lofley Hinson American Legion Post, Deerfield Beach, Florida. He was a hair stylist in Atlanta until ill health forced him to retire. Mr. Hinson is survived by his wife, the former Miss Ouida Wiles; four daughters, Misses Evelyn, Harriet, Eva and Georgia Hinson; five brothers, J. C. Hinson of Pelham, P. L. Hinson of Indiantown, Fla.; L. G. Hinson of Hinsonton, T. W. and H. D. Hinson of Deerfield Beach, Fla.; seven sisters, Mrs. J. D. Autry of Hinsonton, Mrs. E. B. Johnson of McIntosh, Fla., Mrs. J. T. Kelly Jr. of Moultrie, Miss Lucille Hinson of Hinsonton, Mrs. William Zachman of Tampa, Fla., Mrs. Ernest Mayer of White Plains, New York, and Mrs. J. W. Glenn of Cotton.
