Obituary of Hattie Turner Hurst as written on page 6 of "The Camilla 
Enterprise" dated 17 Apr 1959.  Camilla, Georgia.  
Mrs. Hattie Turner Hurst, age 74, died Friday April 10, at Tallahassee Memorial 
Hospital in Tallahassee, Fla., following an extended illness.  A native of 
Camilla, she lived in Mitchell County until some seventeen years or more ago 
when she move to Tallahassee.  Mrs. Hurst will be pleasantly remembered by many 
as "Miss Hatto", a nickname she was known by.  She was the daughter of the late 
John C. Turner and Rosa Bennett Turner of Mitchell County.  Her husband, C. J. 
Hurst, preceded her in death about three years ago.  Graveside services were 
held at Oakview Cemetery in Camilla at 11 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Ray 
Tindall officiating.  Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Rosalind Herndon of 
Hartwell, Ga., and Miss Burdeene Hurst of Tallahassee, Fla., a sister, Mrs. M. 
C. Bennett of Atlanta; a grandson, Jud Herndon of Hartwell.
