Though she had been sick for the past several weeks, Mrs. Ivey had been up and about the house until Wednesday of last week, when she suffered a stroke of paralysis. News of her death brought sorrow to numerous friends throughout this county and section. Funeral services took place Sunday afternoon at Camilla First Baptist Church, of which Mrs. Ivey had been a member for more than a half century. Services were conducted by the pastor, Rev. S. H. Bennett. “Face to Face” and “God Will Take Care of You” were beautifully sung by a vocal trio composed by Mrs. S. H. Bennett, Mrs. J. L. Gray, and Mr. W. C. Adams. Numerous and beautiful floral pieces bore evidence of thoughtfulness of many friends. Active pallbearers were Virgil Holton, B.F. Manry, G.C. Burson, W. W. Bullard, C. D. Phelps, and Marvin Bullard.
