Obituary of Albert Burdett Jones as written on page 10 of "The Camilla 
Enterprise" dated 14 Feb 1958.  Camilla, Georgia.  

Funeral services were held for Albert Burdett Jones, Tuesday, February 11th, at 
the Lake Pleasant Baptist Church with the Rev. John Folsome, assisted by the 
Rev. George Byland.  Pallbearers were Ralph Collins, Marcus Collins, Raymond 
Morrell, Dick Shiver, C. D. Shiver, Allison Hurst.  Mr. Jones passed away at 
his home Monday, following a lengthy illness.  He was born in Thomas County, 
March 15, 1880, the son of the late John W. Jones and Rosa Cochran Jones.  He 
moved to Mitchell County with his parents at an early age and had lived in the 
Flint community most of his life.  He was a farmer and member of Lake Pleasant 
Baptist Church.  He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Fannie Shiver Jones; one son, 
James A. Jones of Camilla; one sister, Mrs. R. P. Garvey of Cordele; three 
brothers, B. H. Jones of Camilla, and Austin and John C. Jones, both of Macon; 
and three grandchildren.  Out of town friends and relatives attending the 
funeral were; Mr. and Mrs. Austin Jones, John C. Jones and Mrs. Hugh Hammontree 
of Macon; Mrs. Durwood Willingham of Forsyth; Mrs. Rachel Shiver and Misses 
Artie Mae and Lula Mae Shiver of Moultrie; Mrs. Raymond Holt of Americus; 
Messers Bruce and Merrill Jones of Albany; Mr. John Henry Jones and Mrs. Pat 
Sallen of Thomasville; Mr. and Mrs. Evert Luke of Meigs; Mrs. Rachel Jones, 
Lynwood and Darrell Jones, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Ratliff and C. D. Shiver, all of 
Orlando, Fla.
