Camilla, Georgia. Funeral services for Mrs. Molly Adams Miller, widow of the late Rev. J. I. D. Miller, age 83, were held at three-thirty o'clock Sunday afternoon, Martch 27th, at the First Baptist Church of Camilla. The pastor, Rev. Edgar T. Davis, officiated and interment was in Oak View Cemetery with Bramlett Funeral Home of Camilla in charge of arrangements. In failing health for the past year or more she died at noon Friday at Mitchell County Hospital. Active pallbearers were James Lee Adams, Carroll Adams, Lee Collins, Chappell Collins, Lewis Collins, E. J. Vann III, Aubrey Stoudenmire of Deland, Fla.; and Harry Miller of Jefferson City, Tennessee, a step-grandson of the deceased. A native of Mitchell County, Mrs. Miller was the daughter of the late Leander Harrison Adams and Mattie Cochran Adams, pioneer residents who lived on a farm in the Evergreen community at the time of her birth. After receiving her early education here in the county she attended the State Normal School, now University of Georgia, at Athens. She taught school for a number of years, her first school being over in Headland, Ala. After that she came back to Mitchell County and taught a one room school at Pleasant Hill and for some years up at Flint, also a one teacher and one room school. She was a member of the Flint Baptist Church but worshipped in recent years at the First Baptist Church in Camilla. In 1916 she was happily married to the late Rev. J. I. D. Miller, Baptist preacher who served for thirty years the church at Flint, the Hopeful church for a while, and other churches in this section. He also taught school some. To this union was born a son wh died in infancy. Mr. Miller preceded her in death in 1939. In recent years she operated a boarding house here. Survivors include two step-sons, C. M. Miller of Newberry Port, Mass., and Oscar Miller of Huntsville, Texas; one brother, W. C. Adams of Camilla; two sisters, Mrs. W. F. Stoudenmire of Deland, Fla., and Mrs. D. B. Collins of Camilla; three grandchildren, one of whom from Tennessee was here for the funeral; a number of nieces and nephews.
