Oct. 27, 1927 - May 31, 2003

Camilla - Mr. James West, Sr., 75, died Saturday, May 31, 2003, at his home in 
Camilla, GA.  Mr. West was born in Mitchell County, a mechanic, lived most of 
his life in Bainbridge and was a member of Gospel Truth Tabernacle.
   Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 3, at Evangel Temple Assembly of 
God Church in Bainbridge, Ga.  The Reverend Henry L. Kennedy officiated. 
Interment followed at County Line Cemetery, in Baker County County, with Joey 
Whitaker, Wyndell West Jr., Dallas West, Roger West Jr., Taylor West, Ray 
McConnell and Gary McConnell serving as pallbearers.
   Survivors include his wife, Louise Wisham West of Camilla; three daughters, 
Joan Whitaker and Linda Harris of Las Vegas, Nev., and Annette Williamson of 
Bainbridge; 13 sons, James West Jr., Leonard West, James Joe West and Robert 
West all of Albany, Jimmy McConnell, Gene McConnell, Don McConnell, Walter 
West, Wyndell West Sr., Darrell West and Kenneth West all of Bainbridge, Roger 
West Sr., of Clarkesville, Tenn., and James Edward West of Las Vegas, Nev.; two 
brothers, Leroy West and Junior Frank West both of Bainbridge; one sister, 
Lorrena Wisham of Cairo; 38 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.

Cox Funeral Home in Bainbridge (229-246-4411)was in charge if arrangements.
