Obituary of Clyde T. Redmond as written on page 4 of "The Camilla Enterprise" 
dated 14 Nov 1958.  Camilla, Georgia.  
Clyde T. Redmond, 44, of Meigs, brother of Mrs. J. C. Phillips and Dean 
Redmond, of Camilla, died in the Archbold Memorial Hospital, October 28th, 
following a brief illness.  Funeral services were held Wednesday, October 29th, 
from the New Bethel Church with the Rev. James Agan and Rev. W. E. Pledger 
officiating.  Interment was in the Bridge Creek Cemetery near Bay, Ga., with 
Dekle Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements.  A native of Colquitt County, 
Mr. Redmond was employed by Armour and Co., in Tifton, Ga., from 1937 until he 
entered service in 1942.  He saw active duty overseas for two years and 
received a medical discharge in 1945.  He was employed by Colonial Stores in 
Thomasville, Ga., and at the time of his death he was a farmer and was also 
employed at the V. A. Domiciliary in Thomasville, Ga.  He resided at Meigs and 
was a member of the New Bethel Church.  Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lavern 
Redmond of Meigs; three daughters, Angela, Vador and Juateena Verne, all of 
Meigs; one son, Clyde A. Redmond of Meigs; his mother, Mrs. Florence Redmond of 
Moultrie; four sisters, Mrs. J. C. Phillips of Camilla, Mrs. B. E. White of 
Meigs, Mrs. Bruce Scoggins of Albany, Mrs. Verna Mae Pye of Moultrie; five 
brothers, MSGT J. M. Redmond of Stuggart, Germany, Dean Redmond of Camilla, J. 
R. Redmond Jr. of Moultrie, B. C. Redmond of Moultrie and Harry Redmond of 
Meigs, and a number of nieces and nephews.
