 Obituary of Idella "Ella" Palmer Scarborough as written on page 6 of "The 
Camilla Enterprise" dated 8 Feb 1957.  Camilla, Georgia.  Mrs. Idella Palmer 
Scarborough of Pelham, died Friday, February 1, at Howard Hospital in Pelham.  
She was seventy years old.  Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 
three o'clock at the Mizpah Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Earl Childs 
officiating, assisted by Elder Josh Davis.  Mrs. Scarborough was a member of 
this church.  Serving as pallbearers were Wendell Howell, Palmer Smith, Lynwood 
Palmer, Merrell Palmer, Floyd Scarborough and Ivy Scarborough.  Interment was 
in the church cemetery.  Braswell Funeral Home of Pelham, was in charge of 
arrangements.  Mrs. Scarborough was born July 18, 1886, in Decatur County.  She 
is survived by her husband, A. C. Scarborough; two sons, R. L. Scarborough and 
Lester Scarborough, both of Jeffersonville, Ga.; four brothers, Johnny Palmer, 
Guy Palmer, Cleve Palmer and Hansell Palmer, all of Pelham; four sisters, Mrs. 
Lila M. Sellers, Mrs. Ella McLeoud, Mrs. Claude Smith and Mrs. J. S. Gandy, all 
of Pelham.
