Obituary of David Ralph Sharp as written on page 2 of "The Camilla Enterprise" 
dated 20 Dec 1957.  Camilla, Georgia.  

David Ralph Sharp, 75, prominent Mitchell Countian, passed away at Mitchell 
County Hospital Thursday, December 12th, following a lengthy illness.  Funeral 
services were held Friday, December 13th, from Pinecliff Baptist Church with 
the Rev. A. L. Croy and the Rev. W. H. Rittenhouse, officiating.  Interment was 
in Oakview Cemetery in Camilla with Bramlett Funeral Home in charge.  
Pallbearers, all grandsons of the deceased, were Wyman Sharp, Bobby Sharp, Earl 
Sharp, Elton Sharp, George Jones, Jr. and Alvin everson.  Mr. Sharp was born in 
Mitchell County January 5, 1882, and had lived here all his life.  He was a 
farmer and landowner and also operated a general store in Pinecliff community.  
He was a member of the Pinecliff Baptist Church.  Survivors include his wife, 
the former Miss Catura Baggs; six sons, Leland Sharp, Elbert Sharp, Ellis 
Sharp, W. L. Sharp, Olin Sharp, all of Camilla, and Jim Sharp of Newton, Ala.; 
three daughters, Mrs. George Jones, Sr. of Camilla, Mrs. Simmie Everson of 
Albany and Mrs. Jake Marshall of Key West, Fla.; four sisters, Mrs. Clay Davis 
of Thomasville, Mrs. Taylor NeSmith of Camilla, Mrs. Cora Cross of Bainbridge 
and Mrs. Will Dawson of Dade City, Fla.; one brother, John Sharp of Camilla; 
twenty-two grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
