Obituary of Theresa May Smith as written on page 5 of "The Camilla Enterprise" 
dated 20 Dec 1957.  Camilla, Georgia.  

Miss Teresa Mae Smith, 89, beloved Camilla woman, died at 10:30 o'clock Sunday 
morning at Mitchell County Hospital, following a lengthy illness.  Funeral was 
held at a graveside service at Oakview Cemetery, Monday afternoon at 3 
o'clock.  Rev. M. D. Reed conducted the service and was assisted by Rev. Louis 
M. Spivey and Rev. N. H. Williams.  Interment was in the family plot, with 
Bramlett Funeral Home in charge.  Miss Smith spent her entire life in this 
county.  She was born November 9, 1868, daughter of the late Henry and Amanda 
Ellis Smith.  She had been a member of the First Baptist Church for many years 
and was long active in Sunday School and Woman's Missionary Society.  She had 
for many years made her home with her niece, Mrs. J. V. Jackson, Jr.  Survivors 
include four nieces, Mrs. Jackson, Mrs. J. E. Brooks Sr., both of Camilla; Mrs. 
W. P. Earp of Greenville, South Carolina, and Mrs. H. E. Harley Jr. of Tampa, 
Fla.; four nephews, Crawford Smith of Columbus, Ga., Lewis Smith of New York 
City and Walter and Earl Pierce, both of Tampa, Fla.
