Camilla, Georgia. Cedric J. Shiver, known to many friends over the county as "Sid", died of a heart attack at an early hour Friday morning, December 20. His death at the age of 34 came as a great shock to family and friends alike since he was in apparent good health. He died at his residence o Broad Street in Camilla. Members of Mitchell County Post No. 141 of the American Legion served as an honorary escort when funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church. The Rev. A. Byland and the Rev. Bob Mathis officiated. Interment took place in the church cemetery. Bramlett Funeral Home of Camilla was in charge of arrangements. Mr. Shiver was born and reared in Mitchell County, son of the late Jep Shiver and Bobbie Shiver. He was a veteran of World War II and was employed as a farm overseer. Survivors include his wife, the former Miss Vivian Adair; two daughters, Judy and Charlotte, and one son, Jimmie Lee Shiver, all of Camilla; one sister, Mrs. Leslie Ratliff of Orlando, Fla.; two brothers, Dick Shiver of Sale City and C.
