Obituary of Mamie Ott Simpson as written on page 6 of "The Camilla Enterprise" 
dated 30 Jun 1960.  Camilla, Georgia.   
Funeral services for Mrs. Mamie Ott Simpson, wife of Lee A. Simpson, of Pelham, 
were held Tuesday at the First Baptist Church of Pelham with the pastor, Rev. 
T. M. Underwood, officiating, assisted by  the Rev. Chester Gilbert, of Hand 
Memorial Methodist Church.  Interment was in Pelham Cemetery with Braswell 
Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.  Mrs. Simpson had been critically ill 
for the past six months, entering Mitchell County Hospital in Camilla in 
January and removed to a rest home at Putney, Ga., just a few weeks ago.  A 
native of Camilla, she was the daughter of the late George and Sallie Ott.  She 
was a member of the First Baptist Church of Pelham.  Survivors include her 
husband, Lee A. Simpson; one son, Perry Simpson of Pelham; three daughters, 
Mrs. B. P. (Toby) Palmer, Mrs. J. Hawthorne Stoudendmire and Mrs. Fred Nevels, 
all of Camilla.  Twelve grandchildren also survive.
