Obituary of Elijah Preston Singleton as written on page 3 of "The Camilla 
Enterprise" dated 21 Apr 1960.  Camilla, Georgia.   
Elijah Preston Singleton, age 33, of Largo, Fla., died at his home there early 
Monday morning, April 18th, after a brief illness.  He was a former resident of 
Mitchell County.  His body was brought back to Mitchell County where funeral 
services took place yesterday afternoon, Wednesday, at three thirty o'clock at 
Mt. Pleasant Church.  Bramlett Funeral Home of Camilla was in charge of 
arrangements.  Mr. Singleton was a native of Mitchell County, was born Nov. 17, 
1926.  He was employed by a tobacco company at the time of his death.  
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Paquieta Spence Singleton, and two daughters, 
Donna and Alicia, all of Largo, Fla.; five brothers, L. P. Singleton and Dorsey 
Singleton of Albany, Otis Singleton, Lamar Singleton and Wilder Singleton, all 
of Camilla; two sisters, Mrs. Charlie Mae Worsham of Camilla amd Mrs. Clarence 
L. Primo, living in France with her husband who is in the Air Force.
